WOOD DESCRIPTION:
- Western red cedar is pitch and resin-free, which means it’s ideal for accepting and holding a wide range of beautiful finishes including dark stains, shabby chic bleaches, traditional solid colors and naturally beautiful semi-transparents.
- The sapwood, usually less than 2.5 centimeters wide, is almost pure white, while the heartwood varies from a dark reddish brown to light yellow.
MAIN USES:
Cladding, shingles, and other exterior applications, such as greenhouses. Boatbuilding and marine structures. Interior paneling, window sashes and built-in furniture.
